Just Two Weeks Until Sheffield Indoor

adam raga sheffield 2016 2There are just two weeks to go until the cream of World Trials descend on Sheffield, UK for the annual kick-off to the indoor season, this year name the Martin Lampkin Indoor Memorial Trial as a mark of respect to the former World Champion and long-time section designer for Sheffield. Although not part of the official FIM X-Trial Championship this year, there will still be plenty fun and entertainment to be had as the world’s best put their machines through their paces.

Naturally, the pack will be headed up by the best Trials rider the world has ever seen – 20 times World Champion, Toni Bou. With no World Championship pressure on him, we can expect some very impressive showboating from the undisputed King of Trials as he makes the impossible look easy.

Alongside Bou, again as expected, last year’s Sheffield winner, Adam Raga will once again be back to defend his victory.

Current World number 5 and a familiar face at Sheffield, Jeroni Fajardo will be back, hoping to take his Vertigo to a podium place.

Making his Sheffield debut will be upcoming young Spaniard, Jaime Busto. Having never ridden at the arena before, it will be interesting to see how this youngster performs against the more seasoned riders.

The home flag will, naturally, be flown by our very own James Dabill. The multi British Champion and recent Scott Trial winner will be making his competitive debut on the Gas Gas, having recently returned to the marque.

Another newcomer to Sheffield flying the British flag will be one of the hardest working youngsters in the sport. Recently crowned World Trial2 Champion, Jack Price will be making his debut and no doubt relishing the home support.

Rounding off the top name competitors is current World No. 10 and another new face to Sheffield, 18 year-old Spaniard, Miquel Gelabert.

The half time entertainment this year will be two World Championship contenders from the Crossbow Cyclo Trials Team - Spaniard Joan Torres and, back by popular demand, young Charlie Rolls who brought the house down last time he was at Sheffield.

If you’ve been to Sheffield before, then you’ll know what to expect - four hours of non-stop mind blowing entertainment. The scene is set for yet another amazing night with tickets on sale now at last year’s prices, £32.50 for adults and £22.50 for under 14s which includes a free commemorative programme.
