Heavy rain mixed with sleet led the organisers to cut the trial down to 7 sections for the riders who had braved the elements to take part in the Directors Shield Trial at Stainby. Despite the tricky conditions riders put in some good performances with Paul Marwood taking his Sherco to the win. On the middle route twin shock rider Luke Hough-Whelpton took his Fantic around for the loss of 21 marks ahead of best novce Mark Awcock on 31. Other noteworthy performances came from Youth B/C rider Alfred Alderman and winner on the white route Jacob Potts. Special thanks must go the observers.
