Bolton Motorcycle Club ran its first round of the Novex series on 12th March at Cliviger, Burnley with a restructured committee aiming to set out a easier sections, however overnight rain soon made the trial a high scoring event for all 40 riders. The first section observed keenly by stalwart David fallows was a rocky gully with a few turns. Looking easy, riders soon found out clay and mud is not the best combination and feet down was common all day for quite a few riders, only the easier route had fun with cleans all day from Helen Tatlock, S Burgess and AnnTtitley
Section 2 same type of going but more up hill and bigger rocks , with Andy Cripps hard route and David Tallows junior, Ben Singleton , Ann Titley, G Broughton and James Clark showing cleans all day, Section 3 looked slippy and lived up to expectations dabs of most riders all day only the easy route being mastered by a few riders all day. Sections 5-6 more slippy mud and rocks, with Adam Mccanna cleaning section 6 all day just to show it wasn't impossible to keep your feet up . Section 7 missed out by beginners but proved ok for the rest of the riders.
Section 8 cleaned all day by mr Cripps and Jimmy Mccanna, on the hard route and low scores for the rest of the riders,Now section number 9 was entertaining to watch but awful to ride, slippy muddy banking and tight turns ,with no one keeping their feet up all day and to top it off section 10 was just as tasty, slippy and muddy,
We can say if there was no rain it would have been a lot easier. The course plotters have been hung drawn and quartered, and with a promise our next Novex trial will be easy going for all.
On 2nd of April we are holding our time and observation trial at 400 acres you can enter on line via our web page.
