On a fine day at South Thoresby Quarry Banovallum MCC held the George Frith trial with 51 riders attempting the varied sections. It was Chris Alford that took the win on the expert route over Mike Evans by 7 dabs to 19 and Jess Bown was in 3rd place on 29.
It was a close battle on the middle route with local lad Steve Marwood was the winner losing 7 marks to Mark Awcock on 8 and Pete Ablewhite in 3rd on 9.
Mike Smalley had a fantastic ride on the 50/50 route beating his mate Tony Bilton into 2nd spot 3 dabs to 7 and Martin Cocks was in 3rd on 19.
Kim Waters and Ian Napier tied on 16 marks on the white route but Kim took the win on most cleans and Bob Chapman was in 3rd losing 18.
A big thanks goes to the observers for recording all the scores and to the course setters and officials for the continued hard work.
Our next trial is The Withcall 2 day trial at Withcall near Louth LN119RL on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June.This year is the 10th anniversary of the event and we hope to make it a great one. Camping is available on the Saturday night and we hope to have entertainment as well. BBq facilities will be available for you to use. Hope to see you all there.
