The third trial of the Peterborough Trials Club season took place today where 41 riders tackled a sunny Stibbington quarry. The ground conditions were slippery to begin with in some sections from the rain in the week and the day before but most dried out by the end of the trial.
The winner of the trial was intermediate class rider Martyn Rushbrook riding a Gas Gas and dropping 41 marks in total. Next up was youth A rider Tom Spencer who dropped 45 marks and had a great ride on the rocks and tyres in section 8 where he dropped just 7 marks. Third place on the hard route went to Tom Bishop riding a Scorpa.
The 50/50 route was won by Mick Thurman who dropped 11 marks on his Montesa with the runner up on the route going to Martin Bone who rode well on his Twinshock Yamaha dropping 13 marks.
On the middle route over 40 class rider Jim York riding a Mono shock Yamaha took the win on 8 marks dropped from fellow Over 40 rider Steve Neale next up on 10 marks dropped. Sam Mann was best Clubman dropping 12 marks. The best novice today was Callum Hedison who also dropped 12 marks. The best twinshock rider was Bruce Alderman on 13 marks dropped.
