Lancashire-based Red Rose Classic MCC have unveiled their calendar of events for 2018. Founded in 1992, Red Rose caters for pre-65 and twinshock trialling in the county and the club have utilised the best - and most popular - venues at their disposal, with a wide variety of terrain and surfaces to test riders of all abilities. Warmden Quarry, near Accrington, Catlow Ford, near Nelson, and Tinklers Farm, in the Trough of Bowland, are just three of the rounds that will be in use in 2018. There’s also a return ‘across the border’ to Higher Sheepwash Farm, at Rathmell in North Yorkshire in September.
Their club championship gets the green light on January 14 at Pendlebury Bait, between Bacup and Todmorden.
The final round of the Northern British Bike Championship will once again be on Red Rose territory, and is scheduled for Sunday, October 7.
The annual fun trial, which marks the end of the season in December, has been renamed the Paul Harrison Charity Trial in memory of the popular club member who sadly passed away earlier this year.
