Having witnessed two cardiac arrest tragedies at trials last year, the organisers of the KIA Twinshock Championship, led by Fredina Minshall decided, in January, to raise money to purchase a defibrillator and make it available at all rounds of the championship.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, the target was reached at Telford Offroad Show and the fund now stands at over £1000, which will buy the defibrillator and necessary case. After advice from various experts, including St John’s Ambulance and the British Heart Foundation, the one best suited to our needs has been chosen and will be purchased as soon as possible.
Many thanks to everyone who helped this worthwhile cause reach its target so quickly.
