On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June, Bexleyheath and DMCC is hosting the Battle of Burwash, a South East championship round for P65 and Twinshock bikes. The venue “knowle farm” on the outskirts of Burwash is arguably the best venue within the South East of England, rolling hills with a stream running along the bottom of woodland valley, its as if you are in Devon or Cornwall. We also host the ladies national here such is the quality of the land. Note: The event is open to everyone regardless of where you are from (not just south east region), all you need is an ACU licence!
The B.O.B is the passion of the clerk of the course with a real enthusiasm for the older bikes and a cracking course is always laid out, as is reflected in the scores of historic events. Saturday offers a later start time of 12:00pm to allow for those that do not wish to camp Friday time to travel and set up etc, Sunday is back to the is 10/10:30 start time.
The event has free camping from Friday night and offers good access for all sizes of motorhome and vans via a gravel/hard standing track. There is a fresh cold-water supply and toilets (in the form of porta loos) will be provided on site for those without their own. BBQs and beer are permitted, we just ask you respect the land and land owner and take your rubbish away with you when you leave.
Entry is via the ACU website or postal, and entry can be either for one or two days so can cater for most. Entries are open now on the ACU website where additional regulations about the event are available.
