The British Youth Trials Championship kicks off this weekend on the Isle of Man with a double header event taking place at Scarlett on Saturday and at Kings Forest on Sunday hosted by the Isle of Man Youth Trials Club.
Action gets underway from 10am on both days with around 60 riders including the cream of UK talent. Back with the other Youth Classes after a couple of years alongside the Men’s British Championship, the A class will showcase the elite level of youth riders with reigning B class Champion Daniel Slack moving up on his MRS Sherco and challenging William Dalton, Joe Faunthrope and Adam Harris, along with local rider Maxx Bradshaw for the win.
There are 14 riders tacking on the B class challenge and it looks like Scorpa mounted Northern Irishman Reece Gazzard will be close to the top of the field as will JST Gas Gas team mates Jack Dance and Harry Turner, and Scottish ace Ben Dignan.
The C class could end up being a battle of the Hemingway brothers, Harry and George who are set to lead the way on their matching Beta 80’s with Charlie Crossland, Max Agar, Alfie-Ray Turner and local rider Corey Peters all looking to out in good performances. In the C medium wheel class there is also some great talent with Scottish rider Euan Simm one to watch as are Jasper Fox and Toby Shaw.
D class is split into a medium wheel for Beta 80’s or the larger electric bikes and includes another bunch of talented riders including local ace Stanley Cubbon who will be in with a shout along with Max Dance and Willam Sagar, whilst in the D small wheel, which is all electric bikes, its is quite open with riders from Scotland, Ireland, England and the Isle of Man all doing battle.
Who will make the best start to the 2018 Championship?
