The Post Trial Review Meeting has taken place for the 2018 Pre’65 Scottish Trial and, once again, it was hailed a great success. There have been numerous emails expressing thanks to all the committee involved in putting on an excellent event where even the weather was kind to us.
This year saw three riders go round with a clean sheet for both days which brought into force the rule for Ties (4.3 Supplementary Regulations) to separate them. Gary Macdonald came out on top by virtue of riding the larger capacity bike. Dan Clark and Dan Thorpe were separated only by their date of birth which favoured the former for second because he is older by a few weeks. Well done to all three on their excellent performances and it is a shame that they could not all be winners.
The Pre’65 Scottish Trial Committee would like to say a huge thank you to all our observers and officials as well as Tim Britton who proved to be an excellent Guest of Honour and judging by the grin on his face, he thoroughly enjoyed himself as he carried out his duties. We also owe a massive thank you to the village of Kinlochleven for the welcome they give us every year as we descend on them and thanks for your support and hospitality.
This year we are sorry to lose a few committee members as they leave to go on and do other things. We would like to express our sincere thanks to them for all the hard work they have put into the Pre’65 Scottish Trial over the years. This means we have a few vacancies on the committee to fill so please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to let us know if you are interested in becoming involved and finding out more about the vacancies we have.
Secretary, Anne Gordon would also like to thank everyone who gave a donation to her Rob Roy Way Walk appeal in aid of Glencoe Mountain Rescue and the total raised to date is £375.00. Anne completed the 79 mile walk on 2 June 2018. The scenery and the weather was outstanding (too hot most days) and she enjoyed every minute of it. If anyone would still like to donate please click here and thanks again for supporting Glencoe Mountain Rescue.
