There seems to be no let up in the great weather that we've been having and it's certainly not what we're used to for trialling in this part of the world. Last night was no exception and although there was a slight breeze making it quite pleasant for our observers, it was very hot for the competitors riding the excellent course that had been laid out by Dan, Stephen, Jack, Chris, Tom, Stuart and Lewis.
Our trial would not have taken place without the generosity of Mr Ian Hartland the proprietor of Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum who allowed us to use his land and didn't charge us for car parking because it was a charity event. We're also grateful to Mr Chris Hodgson who was able to contact Mr Hartland at very short notice and obtain his permission.
Thank you to our many observers who must have thought that it was a nice change to have such lovely weather and to go home with dusty shoes instead of muddy boots. Thank you to everyone who entered our trial. We hope that you enjoyed your ride and hope to see you all again next month for our third and final easy trial of the year before the nights start drawing in
.
We're always grateful to David Matthews for supporting our events and keeping us fed and watered.
