With the annual two day charity trial run by the Loughborough trials club fast approaching on the 18th and 19th of August it’s time to start thinking about what you need in your kit bag. This year there is not only the fun trial on the Saturday starting at 16:30 or the main long lap trail on the Sunday starting at 10:30 to consider but also what are you going to need for the Saturday evening social get together.
With overnight camping encouraged the club have secured the highly rated pop/rock/indie band “Easy Target” from Leicester to perform live on the Saturday evening to give the long suffering partners the chance to have something different. From when the set starts there will be a ban on “If only I hadn't dabbed on section X” or “Do you think the Mont/Gas Gas/Beta offers a better level of grip on the tight turns of section Y”. The chance for a pure social get together without the normal “if only” discussions when Trials rider get together has to be worth attending for on its own.
Planning for the event at Vickers Farm, Marefield nr Tilton on the Hill Leicestershire are well on the way but the club will always appreciate observers or section sponsors to help make the event even better. As previously local charities will benefit from a successful event and the club hopes to exceed last year’s £2000 donations.
