The Bainbridge Motor Club staged their annual dinner and awards function at the Saddle room near Middleham, Coverdale last Friday evening. Club Chairman Mike Percival thanked the ninety officials who enjoyed three course dinner. Mr Percival also praised all present and members for their support over the twelve months. Among the special guests were Mick Wilkinson, Ray and Ken Sayer.
Mike also commented on the Bainbridge Motorcycle hill climb, remarking on the record entry of one hundred and forty competitors and also the record spectator attendance figure. The event raised £1500 which will be split between John Cook Intensive Care and Yorkshire Cancer Care. Multi Isle of Man T.T. winner, John McGuiness competed along with Harry Lampkin riding a 440cc BSA belonging to Scott Trial winner, Dougie Lampkin who presented the hill climb awards.
