Provisional results from the Hull Auto Club’s last trial of 2018, The Embro Cup Trial held at Low North Park, Harwood Dale, by kind permission of Scarborough & District Motor Club.
Each year SDMC allows us to run our last trial of the years at “The Camp” and use their full amenities – including the heated secretary’s cabin and catering facilities for which we are very grateful.
Clerk of Course Mark Williamson certainly provided a great ride round and testing course for the riders as the route went to the far ends of the camp with 3 laps of 12 sections. Unfortunately a bit of queuing at some sections did drag the trial out a bit longer than expected and we would like to thank our valued observers for sticking it out to the end to see all riders through even though the light was fading fast!!
After a long day of competition Ian Austermuhle lifted the Embro Cup for the 2nd year running.
It’s a long winter from trials for Hull Auto (too short for my wife!) and our first trial of 2019 is on Sunday 28th April, the first of our popular Farndale 2-lap charity trials with a big lap covering a great piece of land on the West side of Farndale, North Yorkshire. It will be fully advertised on Trials Central, TMX, Scarborough & DMC and Guisborough & DMC websites.
Hull Auto would like to thank all those riders who have supported our events throughout the year and especially our fantastic observers who enabled us to run those events so successfully.
Hope the lads who travelled up North from Brighton for 2 days of trials in Yorkshire enjoyed your trip and got home safely!
Best wishes for Christmas & the New Year from all at Hull Auto Club.
