Grantham Pegasus MC & LCC Directors Shield Trial

Grantham Pegasus MC & LCC made their first visit to Castle Bytham in over a year for the Directors Shield Trial. Heavy overnight rain lead to the club's course plotters to make changes to ease the sections prior to the start.

When the scores were tallied for the 5 laps of 8 sections it was Alford garage proprietor Paul Marwood who took the main award aboard his Sherco, dropping a total of 39. Runner up was another intermediate grade rider, Mark Hawkins, now riding a new Beta on a total of 68.

Scores were tighter at the top of the middle route where just 2 marks separated Over 40 class riders Ross Mason and Andy Butt. Ross's winning total of 64 was just 2 better than that of Andy. Third place was Kevin Rice on
78.

On the white route Gary Skipworth rode smoothly on his four stroke Beta Evo to top the route with a very impressive total of just 15 marks dropped. Runner up was best Pre 65 rider Bruce Alderman on 35. Special mention to the days only Youth Beginner, Tyler Atkinson who rode well on his Beta completing the event on some very tricky sections.
