Ten sections awaited the 47 riders spread across 7 categories on a sunny Sunday morning for the third round of the Bolton MCC Novex Championship, held at the moorland Lumb Waterfall venue. With all sections observed, riders were greeted with widely varied terrain to test their abilities.
Section 1 on the off camber slope used the wall and rock garden to full effect and Section 2 which used the off camber ground over the varied rocks and little run up. Next up Section 3 was a little stinger of a hill climb with a up hill turn and out with the Experts taken tighter over a little rock garden and out.
Down to Section 4, 5, 6 ,7 and 8 which all used the stream and little banks with some big boulders, waterfalls and steep banks coming in to play with either in to the stream and turns up the banks or straight up the stream with the boulders coming into play. It was then out up to the lower area of the hillside to again utilise the steep hill for some up, around and downs with some of the natural hill side cut outs and landslide features coming into play and more rocks which scatter this moorland valley land.
Some low marks again were had but special mention again to Adam McCanna in the Twinshock Championship, the only rider to go clean all day and only another 4 riders keeping it to single figures.
Bolton Motor Cycle Club would like to thank all observers and the Riders themselves who hopefully had a great day out.
