Despite some early morning downpours, the weather remained fine through the day for the field of entrants to work their way around the tree lined banks of the Castle Bytham venue. At the end of the day, once the results were tallied, it was fans favourite Paul Marwood who had taken the win, with a total of just 15. Second place went to James Walker, who travelled up from Birmingham to take his Sherco around for a loss of 44 marks.
At the top of the middle route was Andy Butt, who sees his lead of the Over 40 championship extended after dropping just 22 marks. Another club regular took second place on the route, this being Richard Peckham who piloted his Beta around for the loss of 49 marks.
Bruce Alderman showed the white route how it is done, with an impressive ride of just 1 atop his BSA, with his nearest competitor being John Lawrence who took his Montesa around the 8 sections for the loss of 7 overall.
The next trial is to be held on 6th October at Harston.
