Some early news now about the Westmorland Club's Bultaco Revival Nostalgia trial for 2020. It will be taking place but on a different date from the one most regular riders have come to expect.
There's a reason for this. Due to the way the calendar changes every year, the Inverness Club's Highland Two Day Trial has crept back to the weekend when Westmorland would normally run and in addition, the land at Middleton may not be available for use in June.
So to avoid any confusion, the Bultaco Revival Nostalgia Trial will now be held on SATURDAY, JULY 25 and it will be at Middleton near Sedbergh, but this could well be the last time the familiar venue is available. One part of the land has a new owner and the other half is currently up for sale so it looks as if the 2020 trial at Middleton may well be the last at this venue. However, that doesn't mean the Nostalgia is finished after this year as fortunately Westmorland have many other venues to use and future events will continue but likely at another location. The club's scramble of the same name moved from Middleton in 2018 to a new location where it has proved very successful so there's no reason the trial can't do the same.
So make SATURDAY, JULY 25 a date for your diary at Middleton near Sedbergh which will be held as per the norm. The secretary Mike Rapley will again be in charge of the administration whilst the course remains in the same capable hands as it has for many years.
