Grantham Pegasus MC & LCC Invicta Shield Trial

Grantham Pegasus held their second trial of the year at Stainby Nr Grantham. Riders competed for the Invicta Shield over 5 laps of 8 sections. The clubs course plotters had done a good job allowing for the forecast overnight rain and gave the riders a good selection of rideable sections.

The main award went the way of Rob Margetts who took his Beta around for the loss of just 17marks lost. Runner up was best Intermediate rider Paul Marwood on 29 who in turn was a mere dab better than 3rd place finisher Ben Butler. On the 50/50 route Callum Hedison rode well dropping just 15.

On the middle route top Over 40 riders Andy Butt and Pete Rushbrook tied on score with each dropping just 1 mark. However the tie was decided on the furthest clean ruling in favour of Andy Butt. Best twinshock rider on the day Martyn Rushbrook rounded out the top three with an equally impressive 5 mark total.

Pre 65 rider Steve Glossop took his BSA Bantam to the top of the white route with a good ride of 15 just ahead of Fun class rider Tony Bilton on 17 and best Youth Beginner Reece McDaid on 27.
