The Grantham Pegasus club returned to Stainby for their third trial of the 2020 season. Course plotters had allowed for the forecast overnight rain and the 8 sections proved ideal for the 5 laps.
The main award went the way of Alford garage tycoon Paul Marwood who took his Sherco around for a total of 25 marks lost. Local rider Mark Hawkins total of 41 was good enough for runner up spot. In comparison to the winner Mark lost more marks on sections 7 and 8 and this proved decisive. The top three was rounded out by Mark Awcock.
On the middle route Over 40 rider Mick Thurman topped the results on a total of 3. All 3 marks dropped were on lap one and after that Mick kept his feet firmly planted on his Montesa footrests. Fellow Over 40 rider Andy Butt was runner up on 16 ahead of John Haynes on 21. Clubman Gary Skipworth rode well to finish on 23. The two top Novices were separated by a single mark with Phil Wilson pipping Mark Dixon by 37 to 38.
On the White route it was Fun class rider Tony Bilton who's total of 6 was good enough to top the route. Best Youth Beginner Reece McDaid again put in a good performance to be runner up on the route with a total of 13, two marks further back was Michael Smalley. Daniel Hudson was top Adult beginner.
