It seems to get better every year. 86 Entrants, 83 starters, 65 Finishers.
Three riders went clean but Nick Royal from the Ripon Club, on an Ariel, had the fastest special test to take the win.
Section 10, a long slippery steep drop with an even longer climb out, took the most marks, followed by Section 13 a twisty uphill grass gully and then Chickenhut where there was no grip following the overnight rain.
Pleasing to see that 7 out of the first 8 places were on standard trials tyres, in conditions that you would have expected the enduro type to excel. This should end the recent long discussions on Graham Lampkin's recent Facebook post as to the merits of each, but its doubtful.
