Yes it’s official, following negotiations with the FIM, Avondale Management can announce that ‘The World’s No1 Indoor Motorcycle Trial’ will be a round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship. The date for your diary is Saturday 5th January at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.
Neil Crosswaite from Avondale Management said ‘ourselves and the FIM have been trying to agree terms now for quite some time. Our main objectives have always been that:
1. The show is filmed and edited into a professional programme that can be transmitted at a later date to show our sport at its best
2. That we have the Worlds best riders and that we showcase the best of our home grown talent.
Compromise as never been an option!’ Neil went on to say ‘as our government have failed to lift us out of recession and with most households having to tighten their belts, Avondale Management have decided to keep the ticket prices static for the third consecutive year, once again tickets prices are £32.50 for adults and children under 14 at £22.50.’
So for the 18th year the very best Trials riders in the World will be descending on Sheffield to do battle to see who will be the King of Sheffield, your riders will include Multi World Champion and undisputed No1 of Trials Toni Bou, Albert Cabestany, Adam Raga, Takahisa Fujinami, Jeroni Fajardo, James Dabill, Jack Challoner, Alexandre Ferrer and Mateo Grattarola. Sheffield is a fantastic night out with four adrenalin packed hours of the best Trials riding action you’re ever likely to see!
