The second round of the World trials championship took place last weekend at the well known (at least for the USA trials community) trials training center in Sequatchie, USA. For Tr1al rider Jack Challoner, the weekend announced itself to be a difficult one as he severely injured his ankle last week at the third round of the Italian championship. Nevertheless, Challoner decided to salvage as much as championship points as he could by courageously entering the trial. He eventually brought home an 11th place on day one and a 10th on the second day, well below the normal results one can expect from the current number seven in the World.
Challoner commented about the trial: "Yes... I had a tough weekend and struggled with the ankle a lot! When I went to warm-up on Saturday morning I thought I wasn't going to be able to ride! Despite all the pain this injury has cost me and the crashes I had to endure over the weekend, I have to feel pretty happy considering the circumstances. I hope to be back to full fitness again for the next round in Andorra and get a decent result that I know I am capable off. Big thanks to the Beta USA team who gave us awesome support all weekend long!"
