Brown to miss WTC Spain

gas-gas-in-articleNo1 JST GGUK rider Michael Brown will miss this weekends WTC in Spain. Michael rode the two days last weekend in Andorra and his knee swelled a lot early this week. The sensible plan is for him to miss the one day event in Spain this weekend so he can be in better shape for WTC Italy in two weeks time. Two more weeks of physio and gym work should hopefully see his range of movement improve. Michael, minder Sam Haslam and myself are naturally gutted he will miss this weekend but July is very busy with three world championship events. Injuries happen but it’s especially frustrating this year with the WTC being ‘no-stop’ because Michael can ride no-stop very well. He had a great result in the first round in Japan and I’m sure without his knee injury he would be currently be easily in 7th place in the Championship at the moment.

With missing USA and Spain and struggling in Andorra I really hope he can recover to finish the championship on a high.
