Last weekend was a very successful weekend for all concerned at the UK WTC at Penrith. Good event, good weather, good crowd and good results!
No.1 GG rider Adam rider had two solid second places behind Toni. It was fairly close on Day 1 when Toni made a few mistakes on the second lap. In fact Adam had the best second and third lap combined but Toni's awesome lap1 gave him the win. Day 2 Toni was simply unbeatable and had an incredable day so respect to him and Montesa. Adam rode excellently but made too many mistakes on Day 2. It was nice for me to help him together with Minder Michele Bosi and also my buddy Jack Lee. The 'Team' worked well.
In the World Cup Class Road and Trials GG rider Jack Price fresh from his first win in Sweden had a great weekend. He was just off the podium on both days with two 4th places but knows that consistancy is the key to win the Championship. Jack is now 3rd in the standings only 6 points off the lead. Hes riding well, keeping his cool and the results are good.
JST GGUK rider Dan Peace was very dissappointed with himself with an 11th and a 12th for the weekend. Dan is carrying a knee injury but did not use this as an excuse. Dan must appreciate that this is his first year of WTC and is a steep learning curve. It was the same last year for Pricey who was not getting the results he wanted. One year on and a busy off season training and Jack now has the possibilty to win the title this year.
Dan is a very level headed rider and will mature the same way Jack has so im confident as the months tick by and his knee heals Dan will on the podium. Dan is now 9th the the Championship standings.
Congrats to Iwan Roberts and Beta UK for the double win.
Thanks to GGUK staff to a superb Trade stand.
