With just one week now until the World's best Trials riders land in the UK for Round 7 of the 2016 FIM Tral World Championship, Toni Bou came back from a poor first lap to take victory at the Belgian Trial GP last weekend, with Raga second and Cabestany third. There won’t be much rest for the riders and teams as they now pack up and head to the UK to attend Parkwood, Tong, Yorkshire for 2 days of World Championship action this coming weekend, 16th & 17th July.
Will Graham Jarvis’ carefully planned British style sections prove tricky for the world’s best? One thing for sure, if it rains there will be many marks lost as riders will find grip difficult on the muddy banks. Will this play into Yorkshire’s James Dabill's hands as he chases his third podium finish of 2016? Only Saturday and Sunday will tell!
Also competing for the very first time on British shores are the World’s Best women riders, with current champion Emma Bristow out to defend her crown and no less than 35 girls from around the globe heading for Tong to do battle. This weekend could also see local lad, Jack Price seal the Trial2 Cup class if he can hold his nerve and perform as he has done for the majority of this season.
Admission and camping are available on the gate each day with the gates opening at 7.30am. The first riders will depart around 9.15 each day and the presentation of awards will be around 3.45-4pm.
