Britain's reigning national champion James Dabill - Gas Gas will lead the line-up this coming weekend as the TrialGP series heads to his homeland of Yorkshire. The seven times British Trials Champion will be looking for a return to form after disappointing outings at the last two rounds in Andorra and France and to repeat the career equalling best placing when he finished as runner up at the second round in Japan.
Dabill has been on the podium five times during his time on the World stage, and would dearly love to claim a first ever top spot in conditions that should suit him better and in front of thousands of home fans this weekend in Tong. James will be joined in the top class by his team mate and friend Jack Price - Gas Gas who himself will also be looking to get his campaign back on track.
Price will have fond memories of the Parkwood venue near Bradford, as it was where he claimed the FIM Trial2 World Cup last year. A top ten placing on the closing day of TrialGP Japan confirms that Price has what it takes to mix it with the best in the TrialGP class, and will be hoping that plenty of home support roars him on to a potential career best result this coming Sunday.
Iwan Roberts - Beta comes into his home GP heading the Trial2 standings by a healthy ten points, an advantage he will be keen to extend by the time he leaves Tong this Sunday evening. Whilst Roberts is the leading light in this category, that now has full FIM World Championship status for the first time this year, he is well supported by the likes of Toby Martyn - Vertigo, Dan Peace - Gas Gas and Jack Peace.
Martyn has been close to the podium a few times already this season and will be desperate to put himself on the box in front of his home crowd. The Peace brothers, both also have the potential to be on the rostrum and will relish the home terrain to have their best chance to date this year to sample the celebratory champagne.
TrialGP Great Britain sees the first ever full complement of Trial125 riders, with this class having been oversubscribed several weeks before the official entry closing date. No less than eleven out of the twenty-five riders in this division are from the home nation, with Britain's Billy Green - Beta at least looking for his second win of the season as he makes a last gasp attempt to seal the Trial125 title at this the closing event in this limited round series.
With the new local organiser, the ACU having confirmed that all their licence holders will be given free admission to this weekend's TrialGP Great Britain, a large crowd is expected on both days to cheer on the huge depth of home talent that will be bidding for hometown glory.
