In a press release issued by the ACU, it has been confirmed that the 2019 UK round of the FIM Trial World Championship, due to be held on the island of Anglesey over the weekend of 31st August and 1st September will not now take place.
Following the split of series promoter, Sport 7 from the FIM Championship, responsibility for ensuring it continued fell on the ACU, however they cite "circumstances beyond their control" for the cancellation. No alternate venue has been offered for 2019, but work will be undertaken to try and ensure the Championship returns to British shores in 2020.
As we undestand it, this may not be the only change to the 2019 calendar with possibly other cancellations and venue/date changes. We would recommend anyone planning to travel to any 2019 FIM Trial World Championship event does not book any non-changable travel until such time as the FIM release an updated and confirmed calendar.
