Peterborough Trials Club Honesty Cup

The final trial of the Peterborough trials club season took place at Stibbington on Sunday with 39 riders turning out on a sunny autumn day. The day started with the trophy presentation with the awards being handed out to this season’s winners and once again congratulations to all those that got awards.

The trial started promptly after and on the hard route Tom Ablewhite on his Sherco came out on top dropping 11 marks with Paul Wareing finishing runner up on 18 marks dropped. Guy Bradley was best intermediate on 35 marks and the youth B winner was Tom Spencer on 49 marks.

On the 50/50 route Mick Thurman took the win on 21 marks dropped with Stewart Dickinson finishing second on 36 marks dropped.

On the middle route Olly Wareing came out top staying clean all day to win the Twinshock class from Martyn Rushbrook on 2 marks  who changed to the Clubman class after his beamish Suzuki expired and he was kindly lent an Ossa by Colin Ridgeway. Next along was Jim York who was best Over 40 on 4 marks dropped. Other winners on the middle route were Ryan Brown who was best Novice and Alfie Ray Turner who was best Youth D on his move up from the white route.

On the white route Sam Mann claimed the win dropping just 2 marks from Keith Smith on 5 marks and Brian Dix on 9 marks dropped.

On the Conducted route there was a lot of tricky mud sections and hills to test the riders with Jake Fraser staying clean and Anthony Piper Martin dropping 9 marks. Both riders had a brilliant year and were very pleased with their trophies at the presentation.

So that’s it for another year the club would like to say a big thank you to everyone that came out to support us this year especially to the observers and course plotters as we couldn’t run trials without you. Hope you all have a good Christmas and a happy new year and we hope to see you all next year.
