Fulfilling the most optimistic predictions and riding in an absolutely genial and top-level way, Adam Raga (GAS GAS TXT Pro 300) achieved his fourth Indoor Trial World Championship crown last night, with two events to go, by clearly winning the “Gran Premio Cidade de Sao Paulo”.
The GAS GAS rider based his win on the final lap, this time joined by team-partner Jeroni Fajardo, and particularly the first two sections, which both Fajardo and Fujinami fived against the World Champion’s three points. From that moment, Raga completely dominated the event and the thrills went to the second place, with Fajardo and Fujinami at a draw at the end of their respective courses, and the Japanese eventually taking the second place.
Logically, Adam Raga’s words can only be positive after another historical day: “It has been an unforgettable, fantastic evening. I feel the same satisfaction as when I won my first title. Before the start of the event I did not think it likely that all the necessary conditions for me to become the World Champion would happen, because it didn’t depend on my result only. It was not the best event of the championship but the fact that it was in Brazil made it special and the crowd enjoyed our riding a lot.”
Thankful as usual, Adam Raga does not forget those who help him: “In these moments of great happiness I remember all those people who have helped me and follow my results wherever I go. Thanks to them my eagerness and conviction to win is stronger and stronger each day. I want to thank everyone, my family, friends, fans, my unconditional followers, GAS GAS, Hebo, my sponsors and particularly Jordi Tarrés, who will undoubtedly be as happy as I am despite not being in the 2006 GAS GAS team now. Everyone knows that we are like father and son. Thanks, Jordi. Now I can only say that I hope my performance is as good in the remaining two rounds. Long live trial!”
